2) Personal information we collect

Depending on your interaction with the Platform, we may collect:

3) Sensitive information

We do not intentionally request sensitive information unless reasonably necessary and lawful. If you voluntarily submit sensitive information, you consent to handling in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

4) How we collect information

We use personal information to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Platform; process and moderate submissions; respond to enquiries; send service communications and, where permitted, marketing; measure performance; detect abuse/fraud; enforce platform terms; comply with law; and support business operations.

6) User submissions and moderation rights

If you submit content, we may review, classify, verify, edit, delay, suppress, reject, remove, or reinstate submissions at our discretion. We may apply moderation labels, confidence indicators, timestamps, source markers, and editorial overlays. We are not required to publish any submission.

Do not submit personal information about others unless you are authorised and have a lawful basis to do so.

7) Community data accuracy disclaimer

Community-submitted venue and condition data may be incomplete, delayed, disputed, or out of date.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Nothing in this policy excludes non-excludable rights under Australian law.

8) AI and automated processing

We may use AI-assisted or automated tools for moderation triage, ranking support, anomaly detection, and quality checks.

We do not intend to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects for individuals without appropriate human oversight, except where law permits.

9) Direct marketing

Where permitted by law, we may send marketing communications. For electronic marketing messages, we aim to comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth), including sender identification, a functional unsubscribe facility, and processing unsubscribe requests within a reasonable period.

You can opt out via unsubscribe links or by emailing contact@thewolfofeatstreet.com.

We may use or disclose personal information where required or authorised by law, including legal process, regulatory obligations, law enforcement requests, and protection of rights, safety, and property.

17) Business transfer / sale

If we consider or undergo a sale, merger, restructure, financing, insolvency event, or asset transfer, personal information may be disclosed to advisers and counterparties for due diligence and transaction purposes, subject to confidentiality and legal safeguards. If a transaction completes, personal information may transfer as part of business assets to the extent permitted by law.

Privacy | The Wolf of Eat Street

Privacy

The Wolf of Eat Street is focused on dining discovery in Australia. This page describes how we handle information on this website.

Analytics

If we enable measurement (for example Google Analytics 4), we use it to understand traffic and improve the site. You can use browser controls or extensions to limit tracking. When analytics is active, we aim to keep configuration privacy-conscious (for example IP anonymisation where the provider supports it).

Newsletter and forms

If you join the newsletter or submit a form, we process the details you provide to send updates or respond to requests. If submissions are stored via our optional site API, access to operator tools is protected in production — see backend/README.md for configuration.

Map intel (condition reports)

Optional submissions from the food map may include venue context and notes you choose to share. These are queued for review; they are not automatically shown as published venue data on the map.
